Surprise!

keep in mind that pattern I published yesterday? The shirtwaist? Well, I bought it Friday as well as yesterday I got a bundle in the mail … I was sure it was my shirtwaist …

But when I opened the package, I discovered this, instead:

I emailed Jody at My youngsters drawers right away, and, well, she is a *really* nice eBay seller. She apologized, stated she’d send out the right pattern right away, as well as told me to keep this one! That’s exactly how you do client service, folks. (You may want to inspect out what she’s got listed now, there are rather a few nice patterns, as well as on sale, too!)

In fact, I’ve had more great transactions buying patterns on eBay than just about anything else … patterns seem to draw in nice people. (Unlike the guy I bought a swatch from, who, when I refused to pay an extra — as well as extremely unlawful — “Paypal fee,” decided it would be fun to smash the watch with a hammer before he sent it to me.)

The serendipitous thing, of course, is that I would have never provided this pattern a second glance, however now that it’s in my hot bit hands I can see all kind of lives for it. It only takes two lawns of 50″ material …

(If you want a copy of this pattern for your extremely own, there are at least two copies of it on eBay right now, plus a truly nice one from Michelle at Patterns from the Past, too)
